Beginner courses do not assume any prior preparation or investing experience. They explain stock market terminology, how the market works, and how to work with data from the basics. Advanced courses assume that the investor can read financial statements at least at a basic level and develop specific approaches, such as dividend or growth investing.
Some courses in the offering include sessions with an instructor, with lessons typically divided into theory and practice. The Elegant Investors course catalog also includes courses designed for self-paced learning. In those courses, you learn through presentations, videos, quizzes, and other materials. You can identify them in the course catalog by the Instructor-led course and Self-paced learning tags.
Each lesson begins with an introductory article related to its topic. This is followed by a theoretical section in the form of a presentation or video, then the Elegant Quiz to check your understanding of the material, and finally a set of additional educational materials. Instructor-led courses also include tabs where you can schedule online sessions.
Each investing course has an Elegant Investor Toolkit section at the top of the page. Depending on the course, it may include, for example, the Elegant Investors Glossary, Elegant Investor Notebook, Elegant Investor Library, Elegant Investor Tool or Elegant Student Consultations. Access to these tools is temporary and depends on the course you choose.
It indicates a beginner level. With the Elegant Investor Start course, you can choose one thematic track, either dividend or growth: Elegant Dividend Investor Start or Elegant Growth Investor Start. The track you choose is included in the course price and does not require an additional fee. Choosing a track is optional.
No. Elegant Investors also offers advanced courses for investors with Elegant Alumni status, meaning investors who have previously completed another investing course on our platform. If you do not have this status, you need to schedule a short consultation with us before joining an advanced course. During the consultation, we will check whether the scope of the course you have chosen matches your experience. Yes. Companies appear in the courses, but only as examples for practicing analysis, such as when reading financial statements or reviewing dividend payment history.
